Please describe the interview / hiring process.
I was applying to the Summer Sophomore Rotational Program with a focus on IB. So technically you only do 3 weeks in each group, but you get on guaranteed group and mine was IB (my top choice). It started with a phone interview by an Alum I met on-campus. Questions were pretty easy, just basic banking stuff i.e. DCF, LBO, DTA/DTL, REITS. I think the last two were more to see if you either happen to know it or you have the ability to figure it out. Then I filled out an online form and got invited to a Superday. Superday was three interviews, all behavioral basically. It was hugely culture-based with almost everyone I talked to, several kids said they ended up discussing sports with the MD. Two people from your top choice group and one person from another group, so for me it was one person from Cap Markets and two IBD (one FIG). It was pretty laid back, however, you definitely need an "in". I was there for like 5 hours before my interview due to my plane getting in early, and then also left late (waited in the lobby). I can say for sure 8 kids (+3 maybe) all went upstairs to tour the office with someone they knew, ranged from Fraternity/Sorority connections to some other alumnus they knew. I was also given a tour by someone, but basically the key to cracking this program is networking, so start early and be proactive!
