Please describe the interview / hiring process.
I got linked to an IBD vice president through a military veterans recruiting event. Being as that I do not attend a "target school" I was filtered through the employee referral process. The initial phone interview was definitely the most technical phone interview I have had to date. It lasted just over an hour and was conducted by a vice president from the Power Group. I expect this was mostly for filtering to make sure my skills were up to the standard found at target schools. The in person interviews consisted of a one-on-one from and Industrials MD and a group interview by two Directors - one from M&A and the other from Power. These were far less technical, with a few questions regarding yield curve, anticipated affect on company valuations if rates were to increase, calculating WAC, etc.
