Summer Analyst with the Capital Markets Origination Group

The process began with a resume drop that occurred after multiple visits by Citi. After the resume drop, I was selected for an on-grounds interview. The day of the interview there was an analyst (alumane) and a MD. The MD dictated most of the questions, but the trickiest question came from the analyst "If you had unlimited money what would you do". The next day I received an email for a Superday that would occur the next week.

At the Superday, there were 5 back to back interviews with only MDs and VPs. The majority of the interview was fit based, but there was extensive talk on the Greek elections at the time and their future impacts. Aside from Greece, we also explored the usual..."Where is the market going" "Why are interest rates so low, what do you think will happen in the next year". All the questions were easy and straightforward, until the most senior MD began to do rapid fire questions. The questions began easy then gradually became harder and harder. I feel that is where I faltered in the interview, seeing as it was my last interview and the pressure came on then.

Everyone who interviewed with was nice, it was great to have stimulating coversations. The only person who came off confrontational was the most senior MD.
