The interview process consisted of four interviews, spread out through two rounds. The first round was with two Managers, on-site at the University. Each interview was one-on-one. Both generally asked "fit" type questions, though the one Manager asked some basic valuation questions. Initial cuts were made after the first round. The second round consisted of two more one-on-one interviews in Deloitte. Both were heavily geared towards "fit" type questions.

The principal reason behind the general, fit type questions was that Deloitte wanted to teach you their valuation methods upon working with the company. In addition, each engagement is made of up mini "teams" which require you to work well with others. As such, they wanted to make sure you were a good fit within their system.

I should note that I have an undergraduate degree in Economics and an MBA in Finance. Both from respectable schools in the area. Interview questions may be different for those with different educational backgrounds.

Lastly, I accepted Deloitte's offer after a few salary re-negotiations. They are a bit stingy on pay.
