Please describe the interview / hiring process.
After the Campus Recruitment process - which consists of background check, GPA and which high school you graduated from (means a lot in Turkey) - I was invited to a meeting that was supposed to "sell" the firm to us. It consisted of various partners giving pitches about why Deloitte Turkey was so great etc. and encouraged us to ask questions. Nice hotel and nice drinks so OK for style. Next we were meant to prepare a presentation about ourselves and why we were a perfect fit for the job. The idea was to test our English and our presentation skills. Luckily I had discovered Prezi at this point, so HR was pretty impressed with stuff that would be considered pretty standard in the US. A couple of weeks later, the chosen students were set up in teams of 3 where no one in the same team shared the same school. A case study consisting of 3 questions was given to us along with a laptop. We had 3 hours to prepare a presentation. My group consisted of a guy who had terrible English (wondered how she got there) and a smart girl who was texting her boyfriend the whole time. And the managers and senior associates were watching us the whole time, sitting next to us. It was easy to assume to leadership but it wasn't easy to carry that group into the finals all by myself. Our team was placed second despite all, and since we were watched the whole time, I got an offer for the next round while the others on my team did not. The next offer was with the Partner and it consisted of a couple of case studies and then me harassing him about the work they do. My interest paid off and in 1 month I got an offer.
