Sophomore Leadership Participant

A campus recruiter called me and notified I got the interview. He then sent me an email to set up a time to interview. On the day of the interview I went into my campus recruiting center and interviewed with a financial services director from the firm. The entire interview was all behavioural, and pretty laid back. She asked me about my background, why I wanted to study business, why NYU, etc. We also talked about Jeremy Lin since the interview was right in the middle of "Linsanity," and the interviewer was actually from Taiwan. She talked about her young son and how she was forcing him to learn Chinese even though he was strongly against it. Overall, I got a good vibe from her and was surprised I didn't make it to the second round. I think there are three areas that I should improve upon: 1) be less nervous 2) don't bring up her son during my thank you letter since it probably came off as overly personal 3) don't mistake the NBA teams that were playing that night (honest mistake)
