first round was a 30 minute fit interview consisting of mostly behavioral questions based on my resume, what do i think the most important person on a team is, why i chose my major, why deloitte, the usual. second was a 30 minute case in which i calculated profitability for a hospital given a certain payer mix, and then had to calculate the changes in profitability and resulting profitability if medicare rate dropped, if medicaid rate dropped, and then what would be the resulting change in both. second round was a 45 minute case with some fit questions as well. here, a hospital system had two hospitals, one in a wealthy area with lots of physician referrals and one in a poor area with lots of medicaid patients and emergency dept visits. first had out outline what i would think about in each hops and if it would be a good idea to merge. then had to calculate how many beds would be filled if the hospitals merged, and profitability of the merge and give final recommendations on the plan.
