summer intern accounting

A good family friend who works for Deloitte introduced me to the a man in charge of hiring interns in New York. He described my sincere interest in the firm and my commitment to learning even though it will be my freshman summer when I intern. It was a quick half day in New York. He showed me around the offices, and we had lunch and talked for a while. Frankly by the looks of it I'll interact with the older interns, but I won't be directly working within their program. I will be doing more shadowing work. This was a very back door process, and my review shouldn't be used for normal circumstances.
