Interview
The way EY Valuations hires interns is through audit referral. You have to apply for audit and pass a 1o1 interview (fairly basic behvioural questions - TMAY, Struggle you went through, leadership time etc).

Once you get audit they have an internal round for valuations where you have to write about the markets, your passion for it and then why valuations speaks to you. Chatting a member of the Valuations team at this point can supplement a poor written application.
Interview Questions
Again the interview process was straight behavioural general questions that B4 firms would ask and then you just had to write about the markets at the current time in a simple paragraph to give your level of understanding at that current period (they weren't looking for a unique view or perspective you gave just strong accurate trends that were shaping current market.) Then you also had to write why this spoke to you (Researching and learning about the markets) and how it related back to Valuations and why you wanted to work on that team.

The interview started with recruiter reaching out via phone and email. We talked about potential avenues for career. Then I was invited to a hirevue. After the hirevue, I did one informal interview (screening) with a partner of the FSO group. Then I was invited to the final round process which was 4 interviews, 30 minutes each across a 4 hour time frame. It progressed in seniority as I went. Had two non FSO senior managers first. Then had a FSO senior manager. Ended with a FSO Partner. It was all across 2 weeks, so very quick. I got the call three days later with the offer.
