Please describe the interview / hiring process.
I applied for a full-time audit position with EY. From my experience, the recruiter really matters because the recruiter can have favorites. When this happens, the recruiter will not respond to emails of other candidates he does not favor. The favored candidate will also get better referrals to the tax staff. The recruiters have a lot of power even at lower staff positions but at the same time, they can abuse that power. There is no oversight to review these recruiters behaviors which may explain why they can abuse their power. I noticed that PWC and Deloitte are much more professional and are more neutral but EY is a little uncontrolled. KPMG is a bit of a mystery.
