Please describe the interview / hiring process.
I had a phone interview that basically consisted of a couple of questions on my background and what position I was looking at within EY. I then got invited to an on campus interview. Before the on-campus interview they hosted a cocktail type of party at a restaurant in town. They match you up with who is going to be interviewing you the next day and is a chance for them to see you in a social setting. The interview the next day consisted of the basic "walk me through your resume" type of questions. I was then invited to a superday that consisted of three interviews - 2 one on ones and one case interview. The case interview was easy and required you to think through a possible merger and how you would advise them. There were glaring problems with the proposal, so it wasn't all that hard. I then had an interview with a partner. Key to that interview is to talk about them the entire time. I don't think we even got to my resume. The last interview was a lot harder. Not because they grill you on technicals, but because the person that interviewed me was pretty intense. Overall a great experience, and a great group in the Houston office.
