I applied online and heard back from HR the following day. What was odd was that I had to reach out to someone else to schedule my phone interview. I spoke with one of their VPs later that week. Towards the end of the interview, I was told that the next steps in the process were another phone interview, a 1:1, and a super day at their offices.

Why Greenspring?

Interview
Went through on campus recruiting through campus website.
Received an on campus interview afterwards.
Interview Questions
After going through the fit questions, I entered the more technical section of the interview.
My interviewer asked me how to value a company.
Initially, I tried to run him through a valuation method like discounted cash flow, but the interviewer stopped me and told me it was not necessary to run through a technical analysis.
He made it clear he did not want a traditional valuation and was asking more of what factors go into a valuable company.
Also, he asked what sets Greenspring apart from other firms?

Group Interview
Interview
I dropped my resume and cover letter on my university's site. I was interviewed by an analyst and associate. It was overall really straightforward. Do note, this company is a funds of funds firm, not direct investment firm. Greenspring makes investments into other funds such as a16z and KPCB.
Interview Questions
Questions asked during the interview:

1. Tell me about yourself and walk me through your resume.

2. Why do you want to pursue a career in venture capital?

3. What other companies are you currently looking at?

4. How would you evaluate a company for a direct investment?

5. How would you evaluate a fund for an investment?

6. What companies and funds did you recognize Greenspring investing in?

These questions were all extremely straightforward. None of them threw me off. Do your research on the website and you'll be fine.

Phone Interview
Interview
Process lasted only a few weeks. Had a first round phone interview with two analysts. Recruiting took place on campus. Interview basically consisted of fit questions; looking to see if you had a general interest in vc, if you understood their investment philosophy, kept up to date with tech news and vc news. Basic fit questions like walk me through your resume, why vc, why Greenspring, etc... No real technical questions other than what I thought of their fund's strategy.
Interview Questions
What do you think of our fund of funds strategy?

Basically just asking to see if you understand how they limit risk and gain access to more investment opportunities due to their interaction with other vc groups
