Can you describe your process to balance accuracy with timeliness?

Interview
First interview was with the recruiting team and was all about my coursework, my resume, my past experiences, and my interest in grosvenor and chicago. The second interview was with two SVP's and was heavy on market knowledge, hedge fund structure, pitch a stock, and statistical coefficients (thinks alpha, beta, r-squared). Be prepared for them to test your knowledge on the stock you pitch.
Interview Questions
Most difficult questions were related to the stock I pitched. Think, what the bear and bull case are, potential loss or gain. One question was related to how you would invest a million dollars. How you would build a portfolio for your grandma, yourself, and your schools endowment fund. They asked me what kind of projects I worked on in my econometric coursework and math coursework. They also asked what r-squared meant in relation to a regression line. Know Alpha, beta as well. Also, they asked if I could invest in a hedge fund, who would it be, why, and why is that your preferred strategy.

Interview
On campus recruiting. Had an on-campus interview and then superday downtown at the Chicago location.
Interview Questions
Asked to set up a system of equations and do mental math on the spot. Also asked about my coursework and the content I learned. For example, I was asked to explain different econometrics concepts. Also asked how I would allocate a portfolio of money and to pitch a stock. Depends on the interviewer that you get, because some interviews were laid back and conversational while others were more stress-type interviews. Lunch was essentially a group interview where we had to answer questions in front of all the associates and other analysts.

Applied online. Then there was a on campus interview, just walking through the resume. Afterwards you got invited to a super day which involved 4, 30 minute interviews with the team
Interview Questions
There were no real unexpected or difficult interview questions. A lot of walking through your resume. Be able to speak about any point on your resume for a good period of time. There was a question about why I chose the fraternity I joined. They really just want to make sure that you can fit into their culture and with their team. The firm is very culture oriented and they like to hire people that can be personable, but also perform the job. Stay calm, and be personable and you should have no problem during the interview.

Did first round interview through campus recruiting. Mostly behavioral, some discussion of current market trends. Invited to superday 2 weeks later. Process was very smooth. 5 interviews in a row with various VPs, all very focused on your story and why investments. Some discussion of market trends. After 5 interviews were complete, we were invited to lunch and the candidates informally answered questions about yourself/markets with the rest of the firm.

Skills Test
Interview
Rather than focusing on technical questions, the interviewers focused on my previous experiences and if I was aware of techniques for good software development. Everyone was pretty nice and understood what to expect from an undergraduate. There were barely any technical questions, which was very surprising. The on-site interview was three hours long with various people in management as well as software engineers. Sometimes there are several interviewers at once.
Interview Questions
Talk about a project that you did and had to work with other people. I gave a response about a project from school, and they wanted to know the details about the problems I encountered.
Do you have experience with different types of testing? I knew about unit testing but I think they would have been happier to hear about even more types of testing that I would know.
