Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Applied online to IMC Trading as a Trading Intern in Amsterdam. They got back to me saying that I passed the CV screening and I have to submit online assessments. I had 4 days to complete NeurOlympics and some customized tests of their own and I passed them with no problem. After that, I had a video interview with one fit question (Why trading?) and one probability problem: Probability to roll a die three times and get a strictly increasing sequence. Fairly easy so I got the Skype interview. I had to prepare options pricing, brainteasers and probability questions. I mostly worried about the finance knowledge (although it turned out to be nothing more than What is an option? What is the payoff diagram of selling a put option?) and confident enough that the math part cannot create any problem. I took the Skype interview tired (could not sleep the night before for some reason), nailed the market making and finance questions and could not figure out a brainteaser in time. It was simple, I've seen it before but I blanked and I took longer than expected (although I was correct). I received the rejection email next day saying that I performed well throughout the application process but I should try next year. My advice: Getting enough sleep in sometimes more important than practising. Try not to stress out and have insomnias.
