Interview
Interview process starts with networking in the early part of the fall semester. From your first email correspondence all the way to signing the offer, you are being scrutinized on professionalism, likability, market knowledge, IB knowledge, and specific bank knowledge. Had multiple calls and lunches the first two months that culminated into getting a first round. The first round was on Teams with two analysts and an associate. I was asked general profile questions and then about thirty minutes of technicals regarding finance, accounting, M&A, and O&G. Throughout I was also tested on my ability to make coherent responses and adapt to pressured situations. I then advanced to a superday three days later, where two people of differing levels would cycle in, making five different cycles lasting about two hours total. They asked me a plethora of questions, majority technical/brain teasers. It is important to note that while the interview content is mainly technical based, your likability, performance under pressure, professionalism, etc. is being judged at all times concurrently. After the superday, I was offered by phone call that night.
Interview Questions
I do not remember any specific questions with specific numbers, but the hardest were the following: full NAV breakdown with metrics, theoretical market walkthroughs, original energy opinions, and brain teasers meant to trick you under time pressure.

Interview
Received a first round invite at some point in Late February. Had gotten connected to a recruiter as my resume had been flagged in the fall. About 3 weeks later heard from an associate asking if I could do a 1st round interview the next day. Interview went well, asked a few gut-check technicals (Revenue to UFCF, Valuation Methodologies, $10 million of depreciation, some merger math, accretion/dilution, etc) but it was very heavy on fit and and actual interest in Jefferies. Interviewer was a really good guy - super laid back and friendly. Heard back two weeks later regarding a superday met with an SVP and MD. SVP was big on fit, dug a bit on resume, but also asked a few gut-check technicals (ex. risks of the main valuation methodologies, how do you screen for comps.etc). MD was very conversational, but dug on resume again. Overall, very good people, somewhat unorganized but overall a pretty efficient process.
Interview Questions
What are the risks of the valuation methodologies? Nothing too unexpected. Essentially reverse engineered the pros of each valuation methodology back to their cons.

Interview
I received an email with possible times (very last minute) and knew the recruiters. It was a 2-1, analyst and associate. For a first found it was 90% technical. As I applied for ECM they hammered different offerings and details about them, why would they pick this offering etc. Know IPO, ATM, FPO and convertible bonds like the back of your hand. They then told me that Ill hear early next week on a super day which took 2 weeks and I did not get it. Overall the interviewers didnt seem very engaged, didnt ask too much about myself and went straight into the details. One was on his phone during the interview.
Interview Questions
For me asking what an After the market offering (ATM) was and to explain why companies would do it over a FPO.
