Was able to meet with a private banker through networking over the summer and applied back in August through employee referral. Chatted and was able to connect more, did not hear back until this October and just sat for Superday. It was held virtually where all the candidates were put in a waiting room, then sent to a separate room for a 1 on 1 with an employee within the specific team. You will either be interviewed 2 or 3 times asked more behavioral so use examples and have some substance to chat about the markets

I was fast-tracked to the Assessment centre after J.P. Morgans 2023 spring week programme (London). We had to do an AC which comprised of 3x30 minutes interviews with 3 different desk, interviews were conducted by VP-MD. The questions asked were mainly motivational and behavioural, with an average of 2-3 market based questions per interviewer. Not many questions regarding Why J.P.M as we were all from the Spring week programme, overall process was very smooth the interviewing process was very tough as there was an extremely low conversion rate.

Interview
I applied online and in a few weeks was asked to set up a phone interview. Had the phone interview with an analyst that went half an hour to 45 minutes. Basic behavioral questions and some technicals (walkthrough financial statements, ratios, valuation techniques).

About a week after the phone interview I got invited to a superday. Six interviews with either one or two analysts/director. Mostly behavioral questions with a few interviews quizzing on technicals. Behavioral questions were things about the job hours, your interest in the sector, your interest in ER, and others like that. Technical questions were mostly on simple valuation and accounting topics. Most of the time consisted of talking about your experience and work with coverage area.

Thought everything went well, but I did not receive an offer. The process took about two months from applying to my last contact with the group.
Interview Questions
Tell me about a deal you worked on in the summer and how you contributed? What were the comps like? What were the sources of funds? (Round 4)

Spent time with 4-5 different people across 25-35 minute meetings with each.

Interview
I applied online and then received a phone interview approximately two weeks later. After the phone interview it was relatively silent for almost an entire month. By the time I got an email for a final round interview I had almost forgotten about the opportunity.

The final round was right after phone screening, there was no intermediary 1on1 interview. Final round consisted of meeting in a room with about 20-25 other applicants. We were offered beverages/food and the team presented the internship. They covered what the internship would provide and entail. Essentially, this internship is a rotation through FP&A, Management Reporting, and potentially Corporate M&A (they call this Strategic Finance). After the presentation applicants were pulled out one by one to be interviewed in two separate panels. Both interviews had at least one manager or senior employee. Questions were all behavioral/fit. No technicals. Each interview was 30 min. long. Total interviewing time was 60 minutes.

Offers were sent out via email about 1-2 weeks later. I accepted!
