Insight app led to FT interviews. 1st: PST - not as many calculations, rather rich with long, contextually rich logics questions. Then 2 group sessions: it's perhaps okay to not shine, but the biggest flag here is the nerves and not being able to communicate how one thinks. The result of the 1st round came out the very next day. 2nd: 2 1:1 interviews with consultants that were obviously tired. Rather short cases with only 4 questions and nothing too crazy. Hard part was PEI: be prepared with at least 4-5 good stories as the interviewer can actually ask you to present another story. While the consultants were nice and down to earth, McKinsey consultants definitely seem quite a bit more fatigued and less friendly/energetic compared to, say, BCG. There is definitely some tangible stuffiness throughout the office and interactions.
