Applied through ranked bidding process at a "top" law school where McKinsey recruits, about 3 months before the date of the actual interview. Received an email about 2 weeks in advance of the interview describing what the 1st round interview would be like. 1st round interview was only 20 minutes and focused on behavioral Q's. Got a call later that evening inviting me to a second round interview, which I could schedule anywhere from 3-5 weeks in the future. The 2nd round interview included a) McKinsey Aptitude Test and b) two separate hour-long interviews with different interviewers. 1st interview was 15min behavioral, 45min case, 2nd interview was 30min behavioral, 30 min case. Got a call less than a week later saying I didn't get to the next round.
