Interview Details
They set you up with a case coaching session over the phone, then an actual case interview over the phone. If you do well enough on the phone interview, they will ask you to interview in person. I interviewed at the Chicago office.
The interview is both case and a bit of fit. After I finished my interviews, I had to take an exam. Make sure you put your answers on the answer sheet and not in the book. I almost forgot to.
If you do well there, they ask you back to meet with partners. I declined at this point.
The case didn't seem too tough to me, but I'm pretty good at math and the business side of things is mostly just common sense type stuff.
The exam is not too bad either, they have practice tests on their website for you to look at beforehand, I'd advise doing so.
The office and people were nice. The office has a nice view out over Lake Michigan and they have multiple floors. I didn't see the whole thing and its not like it matters too much anyways since you wont be there much. The people who interviewed me were both nice.
I had heard stories beforehand about how the interview is hard and you leave feeling unsure etc... I never felt that way. It seemed like some really smart and nice people who loved their job, and its evident in the way they interview.
