The interview process was very linear and laid out. McKinsey starts by sending off an email saying you have received a round 1 interview. This consists of two 1-on-1 interviews with a PEI (15mins) and a case (35mins) in both interviews generally interviewers are at the engagement manager level. As well a digital assessment is required through imbellus where candidates work through a virtual world to complete tasks. Once you receive the email you are paired with an "interview buddy" generally an engagement manager at the local firm. They will run you through a practice case, give feedback and answer any questions you may have along the way. The round 1 interviews in my case were 1 week after receiving the initial interview email with round 2 being the following week (2 week total time between email and final round). Second round follows the same patterns of PEI and case although senior management may take more time on the PEI or general conversation leading into the case. The final round consisted of four 1-on-1 interviews this is with senior management. I received a call later that night after completing the interviews with an offer.
