Gave interviews -- Associate position candidates
General Interview Information
Interview Details
Interviews were tough -- 3 in language (Chinese or Japanese, depending on country targeted), 1 in English. First a personal experience part, such as "tell me about a time where you led a team" or "tell me what made you come to the USA for your graduate school". Intent to show leadership and also personal attributes. Then a case, which was usually a 10 minute introduction and then 20-30 mins of back and forth discussion. Usually 1 handout with numerical data. Alot of pushing on logical structure and thinking through implications of conclusions. Focus also on comfort with ambiguity.
After first 2 interviews, break of 1-2 hours, some light food provided or time to leave and get lunch. Then discussion about whether to come back for next round. Calls for offers went out on the evening of Day Two, emails for non-offer. Then multiple calls from partners and other interviewers with feedback, congratulations, etc. Process was very tightly organized and run -- very friendly recruiters, very buttoned up, no flaws, felt good.
