Summer Business Analyst

Currently an undergrad attending a target ivy and recruited via OCR. Attended an on-campus information session & coffee chats prior to submitting the application. Was extended an invite to Round 1 interviews via email approximately 2 weeks after the application submission deadline closed. Round 1 interviews were conducted the following week and consisted of 2x one-on-one interviews with an ASC/EM in the standard 2-part McKinsey interview format (PEI portion + case portion). Received a phone call the day after Round 1's from one of my interviewers extending an invite to attend Round 2. Round 2 interviews were conducted the following week and consisted of 3x one-on-one interviews with either an AP/Partner/Senior Partner in the same standard 2-part format as Round 1's were. Received a phone call a couple hours after finishing Round 2 from one of my interviewers with an offer. All interviews were approximately 45-60 minutes in length and were conducted back-to-back. All case portions throughout both rounds were the "interviewer-led" type. The PEI was conducted first during 3/5 of the interviews, the case portion was conducted first during the other 2/5 interviews; this seemed to be completely up to individual interviewer preference. All necessary travel related expenses (flight, hotel, ground transportation) were covered throughout the interview process. An alternate date for Round 2 interviews was available in the case of scheduling conflicts.

Throughout the interview process, everyone was extremely professional, encouraging, genuine, and eager to speak/answer questions; the people, office culture, and vibes were wonderful all around.
