Senior Actuarial Analyst

First there is a phone screening. They ask you basic questions like why you are interested in this industry, why did you pick actuarial, why health. Pretty basic stuff and no surprises.

The in-person interview is not so bad either. Mine consisted of meeting with 4 people for 1/2 hour sessions and then lunch with two analyst. One person asked me a question about blackjack because he wanted to see my thought process. The question was something like.. if the dealer has X and Y, what is your probability of beating him.

The interview is not intensive or harsh, they just want to see if you are intelligent, articulate, and genuinely interested. Make sure you know how to do vlookups in excel, and read up on the company and industry. Know the latest trends in the industry and be able to drop that in. That will impress them.
