Summer Analyst

The hiring process at MUFG was straightforward, organized, and professional. My first-round interview was with two alumni from the recruiting team and focused on basic behavioral questions, resume walkthroughs, and core technicals such as walking through a DCF, valuation methodologies, and common multiples. The interview felt conversational and emphasized clear communication and understanding of fundamentals rather than complex technicals.

The Superday consisted of three interview groups and was primarily behavioral with some simple technical questions mixed in. Technicals included topics like a $10 depreciation walk-through, DCF basics, and general valuation concepts, along with detailed questions about past experiences. Overall, the people were friendly and supportive, and the culture appeared collaborative and team-oriented. My advice to candidates is to know your resume well, master the basics, and be prepared to clearly explain your interest in MUFG and talk about the culture.
