CV + Cover Letter (applied via Linkedin) -> HR Interview -> Interview with Assoc + MD -> Offer

Interview was mostly motivational and asking questions on my CV, very friendly and relaxed conversation. Technical questions asked about the overall market and seemed to gauged my overall awareness of the asset management industry as opposed to the group I applied for. Entire interview process was held virtually, may have just been due to COVID.

Was 2 interviews. One with HR and one with the VP or MD or Principal of the team that you were going to be assigned to. They were behavioral questions like what is your school and tell me about your resume. It was more of a personality interview than a technical interview.

Interview
The process moved very fast. From the first to the last interview merely 2 weeks passed and consisted of 10 total interviews, with increasing seniority per stage. The first interview was very technical and asked the usual questions concerning valuation methods, accounting and industry knowledge. Inbetween and towards the end the interviews were primarily behavioural and of motivational type. Interviews 4-5 were very technical again and also included multiple paperback LBOs and other, more advanced technicals.
Interview Questions
The most difficult was the more advanced industry-specific technicals and paperback LBOs, besides those, however, qualitative and unconventional questions like "do you have a screen shield on your phone" or other unexpected questions always demanded proper ad hoc improvisation and a coherent answer.
