Interview
The interview feels less like grilling you on finance and more like seeing if you’re outgoing, coachable, and comfortable talking to people. They ask a lot about your goals, work ethic, and why you want to make money. There’s a big emphasis on networking and prospecting — like who you know and how comfortable you’d be reaching out to friends and family. They hype it up as an ‘entrepreneurial opportunity’ with great training, but you can tell success depends heavily on sales hustle.
Interview Questions

Got a call from a recruiter to schedule the interview. Did an online interview and she just asked me behavioral questions and why I was interested in the job.
Interview Questions
The questions weren't very hard, I ended up declining because I didn't realize it was actually just insurance sales and not wealth management as it was advertised.

Interview
Went into the interview without reading reddit reviews (please do so), interview took a strange turn as the interviewer started asking me if any friends or family needed wealth management services. She then told me I could bring my spouse for the final interview to discuss my retirement plan (??). They sent me an email asking to schedule for a second interview, but I declined. Lots of misalignment between what she said and what was on the job description on LinkedIn.
Interview Questions
No difficult questions. It was just a screening interview.

Did not really have to do all that much. Attended a virtual informational session with about 50 attendees. A couple weeks later, I met with the hiring manager virtually and was asked about my background and why I wanted to enter financial advising. After that I was given the task of surveying 10 people to gauge my potential client base. After doing that, I had a meeting in person with an actual financial advisor and he explained what services Northwestern Mutual provides and how to better connect with clients. At the end of the meeting, I was offered the internship.
Interview Questions
Was not asked any difficult or unexpected questions in this interview process.

Applied online via Indeed. The supervisor was very welcoming and friendly, and offered me the job within 10 minutes of the interview. He said my resume was exactly what they were looking for, but when I later talked with the other interns, he said something almost verbatim. They basically sell you the job, instead of trying to find out if you are a good fit or not.
Interview Questions
None. Very basic questions and none required too much thinking.

Interview
Multiple interviews, first with recruiter, then a skills test, followed by 2 meetings with the director, who also had a preseentation to share. I was initially contacted via a recruiter on LinkedIn, who the initial screenings were with, before having the skills test and 2 meetings with the director. I also had a small project of gathering leads that I was asked to complete. It was professional, but there was a lot of focus on selling insurance to people within my circle versus financial advising, which seemed somewhat predatory to me. They did offer me a base salary during my first year, as well as to cover the cost of my training, which is helpful and more than a lot of the other companies I was interviewing with offered.
Interview Questions
The most difficult question was an exercise about how I could convince somebody on the street to choose me as an advisor, and my approach in them. I am used to those types of questions, but we continued for a long time in this role play, as they were wanting to play a very difficult character, and we addressed a handful of different approaches
