Please describe the interview / hiring process.
I networked with someone who had done an internship at Parthenon, and tailored my resume and cover letter as best as I could I submitted it online, and essentially forgot about it until I got an email one morning telling me that they would like to move forward with interviewing me. I set a time and then got an interview call in the morning. They started off with a market sizing case about how many glasses are sold per year in the US, then moved onto a "fit" interview. That interviewer hung up, and then another interviewer from across the US called and gave me a case interview that had to do with profitability of corporate versus owning a smoothie shop, around 30 minutes, pretty standard, no crazy curveballs. I chatted with the interviewer for a bit afterward, sent a thank you, and then waited. About a month later, I got an email telling me that I had been invited to interview out in Boston. In later October, they flew me out and gave me a hotel. The day after I arrived I went to their office, and the interview was a 3 part ordeal. First, they had a group interview with two other candidates, that lasted like 30 or 45 minutes (I forget) that had to do with toy profitability and market penetration. I was evaluated by an analyst the whole time, and then we delivered to a partner. After that, I was interviewed one-on-one by a Vice President, who was very helpful and insightful. Finally, I got a regular case interview that had to do with the profitability of owning a cruiseline, given to me by a vice president. Everyone was really chill. I got a call 2 weeks later saying I was on a wait list, and then a couple weeks after that, I was told they could not hire me.
