Interview
I applied through our college recruiting website . My resume was selected and I had to give a HireVue test. 2 weeks after the test , I was interviewed for the 1st round , individual case study followed by behavioral interview . 2 weeks after that I received the invite for the Super Day which had a group case study , individual case study and manager interview.
Interview Questions
Individual candidate driven case study was the hardest . What was challenging was the fact you have to make an analytical deduction and quantify it at the same time to reach a conclusion.

Interview
The interview was an on-campus interview (MBA). It had two parts. The first part was purely behavioral and the second was a case. The behavioral I had was not so standard. The interview and I went through M&A a lot more than my personality and background (by the way, I was interviewing for an M&A related position). Before the interview kicked off, the interviewer confirmed with me the subgroup I would be interviewing. Clearly, this firm had two separate arms for M&A strategy summer associate (one is the regular M&A strategy/deal management, and one is deal technology practice). The case was a regular case, which you definitely would encounter a lot during MBA consulting club casing review. But! Since this firm is very M&A heavy, the case was highly M&A related. And! M&A, by definition, is merger and acquisition, but you should be open to situations related to selling and spinning off.
Interview Questions
I got one question that is not unexpected. The interviewer asked me to benchmark this firm against all other competitors (imagining MBB), and wanted me to answer what made me think this firm is better than the others. That was during the behavioral session. During the case interview, the tough question I got was related to selling a division - What a company should notice when it's going to sell a subsidiary? What benefits would such selling bring to the company? The math I got for the case was also not very straightforward.
