I applied to PwC through OCR at Chicago Booth, had a background in M&A and was applying for M&A advisory at the NY office, hence didn't have to network a lot to get the interview. The first round interview process was fairly straight forward and I was surprised to see the emphasis on 'fit'. Didn't have a proper 'case' interview unlike other consulting firms, but was really grilled on fit, my summer experience and 'what if' type questions.
The Final Super day was at the Chicago office, with one case interview and two more fit interviews. I really liked the case as it was super relevant to the area i was going to work in 'M&A'. the case was very broad and covered the typical M&A transaction life cycle. What was good was, it really gives you a small exposure to the kind of work you will do at the firm.
The fit interviews veered towards ethics and compliance and were again more grilling than the other firms. I could sense they were focused on the fit as they wanted people to stick around for some time and not quit in a year or two.
Made great connections during the interview, got a confirmation of the offer the same weekend and accepted the offer!
