What did the interview consist of?
Phone Interview
1 on 1 Interview
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
I found the position through my university's career website. I applied there which also included having to apply on PwC's corporate website. Didn't hear back for about one month. Out of the blue I was emailed by a recruiter to conduct a phone interview. The recruited set me up with a phone interview with a PwC management consultant in an out of state office. I thought it was weird because I applied to a technology consulting position and was considering the NY office because I live in the tri-state area.

The phone interview was a typical behavioral interview but focused on leadership and scenario-based questions rather than work experience. For example, "How did you deal with a conflict on a team?" I thought my performance in the interviewer was average.

Contacted about 3 business days later via email for final round interviews being conducted in the office the first interviewer was from. I received the email on Monday and the superday was that Friday. I accepted and PwC paid for all travel and lodging expenses. After accepting I got an email from my superday host saying that he'll be showing me around the office.

The superday consisted of 3 interviews. 2 behavioral and 1 case interview. You are given the case 48 hours in advance but without the questions. The superday went from 8am-12pm. When you get there you're in a waiting room with other candidates then herded in to a conference room where you sit at the seat with your nametag. PwC gives you a bunch of freebies like a folder, water bottle, and even a starbucks gift card. There also pencils for the case. At 8am, you are given the case questions and given 45 minutes to create a presentation and solution by hand on papers that look like powerpoint slides. After that, half the candidates go to their 3 interviews and the other half stay in the room for a presentation about PwC, mingle with other candidates, and play a game of jeopardy based on PwC trivia questions. That goes on for about an hour and a half. Then you meet your host and he takes you to your interviews. My host was very welcoming and friendly and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible.

First interview was 1 on 1 with a manager. It was behavioral and he asked the standard questions about experience but also asked questions on my global and cultural experiences. He wanted to see if I could work with people from various backgrounds. Very friendly guy, the interview was very conversational.

2nd interview was the case interview with another manager. Manager pretends he's the client and you present your case. Manager interjects with questions and you have to provide reasons behind everything. At the end of presentation more questions regarding it. Just have to know the case and be able to support all decisions with reasons. Stick to you're argument.

3rd interview was 1 on 1 with a director. First asked experience questions but turned into a conversation after I found some common interests.

All interviews were 30 minutes long.

All superday interviewers were very friendly and welcoming and loved sharing their experiences at the company. After superday, the director called me about 3 hours after I left to offer me the job.

Received the offer letter 2 business days later.
