When you apply CV then the recruitment team will assess and send you OA if your profile passes their criteria. The OA is a pymetrics test. If you have done it within 6 months, you dont need to retake. They will assess from your existing result. Then you move to the Valued Behaviours Assessment. They will have some scenarios and you have to choose the best and the worst solutions. If you fit, you will be moved to the Video Interview. They have 4 questions which are behaviour, no technical. Then if you pass, you'll be moved to 1-1 interview.

The process starts with an online assessment, which includes a Pymetrics test followed by a personality questionnaire. It is not technical at all and is more about how you think, make decisions, and your general behavioral profile.

After that, there is a HireVue. This is mostly straightforward behavioral questions such as walking through your background and explaining why sales and trading and why financial markets. Nothing too tricky, but you want to be clear and intentional with your answers.

The final stage is a superday that lasts about 2.5 hours. The first part is three one on one interviews with people at the firm, which together take around an hour to an hour and a half. These are a mix of behavioral questions and light market discussion. It is less about technical knowledge and more about how you think, communicate, and talk through ideas.

Then there is a group case. You are given some time to read through a case, pick a company, and come up with an initial pitch on your own. Everyone presents their idea to the group first, and then you work together to align on one final recommendation. After that, you present the group pitch to a panel.

At the end, there is a short 15 minute discussion with someone from the panel where you walk through the group’s decision and reasoning in more detail. It is pretty conversational and gives you a chance to explain how you approached it.
Interview Questions
Imagine you have two ropes, and each rope takes exactly one hour to burn. However, the ropes have inconsistent density, so they do not burn at a constant rate. How would you use the two ropes to measure 45 minutes?

Attended the Spring Insight Program (resume drop+hirevue-> invitation to program) I received an invitation to interview shortly after the program. I expressed interest in client coverage, and was advanced to the final round interview. The online superday consisted of 3 1-on-1 30 minute behavioral interviews, followed by a 45-minute group case study. Both of the other two candidates were on the Spring Insight Program. The case was an ESG risk assessment of a hypothetical African corporation (human rights risk), where we weighed several factors before arriving at a conclusion and presenting. The interviewers were in the call assessing how we worked together.
Spring Insight made my process much shorter, as those who did not attend got flown to the NYC office for their final round interview.

There were four main stages to the process. The first stage was submitting the application. This was followed by an SJT style assessment, pymetrics games and a hirevue. After that there was a first round video interview testing technical knowledge and commercial awareness. The final round was a motivational and competency based interview.
Interview Questions
None of the question were too difficult. The technical interview asked a mix of typical IB style questions. The only question I struggled with a bit was the brain teaser

Some of the most difficult or unexpected interview questions in Investment Banking interviews focus on behavioral insights and problem-solving. Examples include:
