Interview
First round with HR. Very kind and welcoming, primarily behavioral, except for 1 "why Teneo" question and 1 question about current events/market trends. A week later, I got an invitation to do a second round with two associates. It was a relatively easy interview process, and I enjoyed meeting everyone. Everyone I spoke with talked highly of the company and their experience, especially in its efforts to develop an excellent corporate culture. For the interviews, I would suggest doing a lot of research into the company and staying current on current events, particularly within financial markets.

Interview
I submitted my resume online via Linkedin and sent a separate email to the hiring manager. I was contacted within one week. The interview was a standard one-on-one interview, with typical questions on experience and relevance to the company's work. Questions included: Why Teneo? What value do you see yourself bringing to the team? Walk me through your resume.

The process was entirely pleasant and professional. Generally difficult to get a sense of the office culture, but I would recommend reaching out to current or former employees for that sort of information.
Interview Questions
The most difficult question was one that required preparing for: Why Teneo?

I began speaking about the variety of clients the firm is exposed to and its international reach. I focused on its having developed a reputation as a growing global player, a disruptor and a fast mover in an otherwise august space. The perceived culture of entrepreneurialism, fearlessness and the pursuit of growth drew me in. I also discussed the number of areas into which the company has expanded and expressed admiration for its bold plans.

Interview
Applied online and was invited for an phone interview with an MD and AS. The interview was mostly fit question with a general case study at the end.

The second interview was with the head of investment banking, VP's, and a few associates. Normal why IB, why Teneo questions. Only one technical question.

The team was nice and receptive; however, they do not get back with you in a timely manner or send out rejection emails.
Interview Questions
Mostly just fit questions; however, be prepared to sell yourself on what you can bring starting day one. The team is very small consisting of roughly 20 team members; therefore, you need to connect with each one and make an impressive first impression. The hardest questions were trying to fit the role that you see in the office. The guys aren't typical fit and have more of a work work work environment focused on intrinsic values and less on networking.

1.What can you bring starting day one?
2.Why Teneo and why New York? How did you hear about Teneo and what do you think we do here?
3.Tell us about yourself and your interest in Investment Banking?
