Interview
The application process was easy. E-mailed contact on the company website and heard back from some VP. Office is difficult to find since it wasn't even on google map. The building directory was confusing too. The whole thing was a two round interview with 5-7 different people. Some of the same team members interviewed us twice.

The technical questions were basic and included a DCF walkthrough, calculation of CAPM, explaining how to comp out companies and talking about the price / yield relationship of a bond.

The other half of the interview was all fit. Tell me about yourself. Why this company? Why this department? How much are you willing to work? Do you want to do the CFA?
Interview Questions
Walk me through a DCF

Provide the standard answer as available on the forums. Do not add too much detail as the interviewer will stop you to articulate. Also, expect the interviewer to interrupt you once or twice with unrelated questions to throw you off. You need to be able to keep track of where you left off.
What would you do if you couldn't finish an assignment in the allowable time?
The interviewer is testing your communication skills and logic. You need to be able to alert your manager and keep him in the loop. That is the answer they are looking for.

The MD and CEO came to BYU campus for interviews. The MD was an alumni so he knew the faculty and kind of kids interviewing. Interview was slightly technical but mostly they were looking for fit. After the initial interview they flew me out to San Fran for round two. It's a small office, so basically round two consisted of multiple interviews with each VP to see if they like you.
Interview Questions
How do you value a company?

-Know all your valuation stuff for this question; DCF, comp multiples, transaction approach, as well as WACC calcs, adj beta formulas, etc.
Give an example of how you pay attention to the details.

-"math checks" as they are called in our office are a huge part of the analyst role. Knowing that you can check every last detail of a model quickly and efficiently without getting burnt out will be important.
