Accenture Systems Integration Negotiation

I was contacted by Accenture SI recently and told they only have openings in their Houston office and they started describing where I would work in downtown Houston. if i start the interview process and somehow land an offer, will I be stuck with Houston? Has anyone negotiated location for this position? I can't find anything on glassdoor about this. And the answers will dictate how much effort i will put into this interview.

Thanks!

^I'm sure you have some places you don't like, right? Some people are not city folk. I've been to Houston before and just don't like it. It especially sucks in the summer with the humidity. All my friends and family are on the east coast. etc etc.

Interesting take on the beggars comment. I don't have an offer from them, yet I have multiple interviews with different firms lined up through my classmate/friend contacts and campus connections from my college and grad school days at UPenn and MIT, respectively. I'm trying to decide where to focus my energy in terms of prepping for case and non-case interviews for Accenture, IBM, Monitor, Booz and other firms. Given all that, why should I focus on an interview if I have to settle for a location I don't like?

In the meantime, keep the change.

I received an offer from ACN in doing SI work. I interviewed in the bay area, was then offered a spot in houston. I wanted to be in Dallas or SF. I told them I was interested in other locales, the recruiter checked and then offered a position back in the bay area (SF office).

I got the offer back in Jan. and they had quite a lot of location choices. Didn't get my first choice but did get second choice.
