Altman Solon Internship vs. Software at Bank

For context, I am a junior at a target school studying CS interested in both SWE and consulting. Currently weighing offers from Altman Solon for a consulting role and from a Japanese bank (MUFG/SMBC/Mizhou) for a software/IT role. As someone who isn't sure what they want to do full-time out of college, which would be the better choice for the summer?

Your internships are in completely different fields. You say you aren't sure if you want to be a consultant or SWE, but honestly that's pretty much the only thing that matters in this decision (assuming the bank is a SWE role more than it is an IT role -- which I'd suggest you investigate further)

There are lots of existing SWE vs consulting threads on this forum and many others that can help you figure that out. If you can add more color around your personal values and preferences for work then somebody may have some help comparing the industries against your shortlist of most important criteria, but I'd suggest digging through the aforementioned existing industry comparisons to start
