Alvarez & Marsal Non-Restructuring

Hi everyone!

How would you say A&M is in terms of exit opportunity and overall visibility outside the firm? I know that they are most popular for their restructuring practice but I was more looking at their other consulting services in corporate performance improvement.

Thanks!

I know that Bain in particular targets Alvarez & Marsal for their associate openings periodically given how much the firms overlap in the PE Space. I would say A&M is comparable to MBB or greater within Turnaround or CPI. They have a global presence with top talent. Their restructuring team is often ex-bankers or fin. model experts and their CPI team is solid from my chats with them (most NY office and a few in ME Riyadh/Dubai).

Unquestionably greater than MBB in those two areas. MBB isn’t even close to top tier (like A&M) in those two verticals.
