Backups to consulting

Intern recruitment is right around the corner and it is really hitting me how competitive recruitment is (target school Chicago offices). I feel strongly about consulting and really like BCG, but if MBB and big4/T2 don't work out for whatever reason this fall, what are some good alternatives to pursue with FT recruitment in mind senior fall?

Capital One has some interesting programs, but all ideas and input is welcome.

Are there any particular companies that have well regarded strategy divisions?

Would you ever consider a top FLDP? It'd be hard to get a strategy rotation but a good FLDP w/ solid performance track on your part will set you up for a top MBA if thats something you're considering. Top FLDP recruiting is roughly as competitive as tier 2/big 4 MC.

Consider firms like Microsoft, GE, Raytheon Technologies, J&J.
