BCG's Impact on the Auto Industry (Chrysler and GM)
Hopefully some experienced or knowledgeable consultants can chime in. As an engineer currently working for the auto indsutry and looking to interview at MBB soon, what did BCG actually do for Chrysler and General Motors? My understanding is that BCG consulted their clients on their financial structure; can someone sort of explain what recommendation BCG made to the auto companies in layman's terms and how it affected those companies?

I do know that they were engaged with Toyota and were huge fans of the way they structured their supplier relationships (http://viewswire.eiu.com/report_dl.asp?mode=fi&fi=692576454.PDF&rf=0).
