Classes to prepare for consulting internship
I just received an MBB offer for the summer. Given that I am not a business major, would you recommend that I take any business classes in the spring to prepare? (Accounting, finance, etc).

I spoke with several people from MBB and what you'll find is 90-99% of the skills applied within the firm are trained through formal training or hands-on experience. I know Bain is notorious for ignoring majors and just look for individuals who can think and pick up on things quick at the job itself. That's why you see so many people with diverse backgrounds (engineering, humanitarian, business degrees) working at these firms.
You could take courses, but you got through the interview process, so you proved you know how to think and structure your thoughts. I'd say take what interests you and learn as you go through the job.
That is what I thought originally. I'll probably take an excel modeling class and maybe accounting just for background info, but I am also interested as well so it doesn't hurt.
Accounting and finance won't hurt but they're not necessary, especially for an internship.
Is there anything I can do between now and June to prepare? Like perhaps there are things I can learn now that would make my life easier this summer.
get familiar with excel & powerpoint if you haven't already
How would you recommend doing this? I've used Powerpoint before but just for class projects and not much with excel.
