Consulting Peeps. Help me clarify please!

Alright. The other day I talked to a friend who recently graduated in May and the person told me he is working at Accenture making 80k/year. FYI, he goes to a semi target school in Boston and did not even graduate with honor...

Now from my understanding, fresh undergrad only make that kind of salary doing the dog hours IB work. Just want ask you Consulting gurus out there, is it even possible for an undergrad to land a gig at a firm like Accenture? If so, what kind of work woud they be doing? I have always thought big consulting firms only hire those MBA grads?

This isn't to spite on my friend or anything. Just want to gain a better knowledge about this industry. Please advise!
