Entering consultancy in late 30s

Hello,

I am an ophthalmologist working at NHS UK. I want to switch my career to healthcare/lifesciences consulting after doing MBA. My questions are

1. Is entering top b school as full timer with good gmat score possible at this age(37).

2. Do big consulting firms hire people at this stage? I have 10 years in ophthalmology.

Thank you.

Regards,

UA

First, consider taking out your real name from your post and profile

MBB and specialized boutiques are probably interested in your profile. The MBA is kind of a waste of time and money because you can get in without one, provided you prep extensively.

Thank you for the response.

I am a bit confused whether to go into health care consulting or healthcare administration. I am complete medical person so don't have knowledge about the minor details. Which one has good career growth and financially lucrative?
