Europe: Roland Berger Strategy Consulting vs. Monitor Group

I have offers from both Roland Berger and Monitor for internships in Europe. What are your thoughts on the two firms and how they compare? I am mainly looking for prestige here, both within Europe and beyond. Thank you for your help.

roland berger is quite prestigous in europe but i think monitor will give you an edge. worldwide its more prestigous and people outside of europe have mostly never heard or rb.

consultingwiz07Is Deloitte still pursuing Roland Berger by the way? Were they not considering acquiring them?

No, rejected.

It'll depend on where you intend on pursuing your career post-consulting. As it has been mentioned above, RB has quite a prestigious name in Europe, but Monitor takes the cake in other parts of the world (ie. North America). So if you later plan on working in the United States, for instance, the brand value of Monitor will likely take you farther than RB would.
