EY to split Audit and Consulting Businesses

According to the WSJ, EY to announce today (9/8) a plan to split its audit and consulting businesses which could lead to higher payouts for partners as a result of faster growth and profitability from the consulting side once it is freed from the regulatory constraints that affect audit firms.
