How to approach next recruiting Cycle??
Background: Engineering major at top public university (UMich,Berkley...),3.2 - 3.3 GPA, Engineering internship for Summer 2018, Graduating May 2019.
I recently studied and took the GMAT because I thought it could improve my chances in getting interviews and make up for my low GPA. GMAT: 760
How do I network and approach the next recruiting cycle in the fall? What are consulting firms I have at a chance of getting an interview with if I network and reach out now? I have around 5 months to prepare, how should I get started?

Also a student at a top public university. Your GPA isn't that low for engineering. Not top tier, but I wouldn't consider it bad. I'm not sure the GMAT score really matters that much for undergrad recruiting (don't take my word for it, I'm not a recruiting expert. Really good score though!), and I would echo that networking is really important. At such a large school, it's really important to make yourself stand out against everyone else. I would also suggest looking online at different firm websites to see if they have any sort of conferences or off-campus opportunities you can apply to. That's how I got 2/3 of my offers. Check with your career center to see if they can connect you with alums at some of the firms you're interested in - a surprisingly easy way to make a good connection at a firm (and also how I got my junior year summer internship). Hope this helps.
Even though you are going for FT recruitment for undergrad I would still sneak in that GMAT score on your resume.. that 760 GMAT score is bound to impress employers who have gone to business school
^definitely. I put my mcat scores with my sat scores even though it's not super relevant because they were impressive enough
