Internship: Financial Analyst vs. Consulting?
I have two options that I’m considering rn: one as a financial analyst intern at a large F100 automobile company, and one as a marketing summer scholar at Deloitte consulting. I would consider a career path down high finance or strategy consulting; haven’t really made up my mind yet but I’ll likely get an MBA before I make the switch. My concern is corporate FP&A is not directly related with high finance, and marketing summer scholar just sounds way too specialized (I’m more into regular management consulting but haven’t heard back from any yet). Which one should I go with for a better career trajectory?
If it helps: I’m currently at a semi-target.
