Is Bain trying to help their Consultants Leave!?

Folks, have seen a flurry of Bain Consultants change their Linkedin profiles to "Manager" in the past 2 weeks - turns out the firm is now calling senior Consultants... "managers"? What's that all about / is it just to help them exit better during Covid or something ? Any and all insights appreciated

Bain, as with other MBB firms, follows a pretty strict 2 year promotion cycle. 2 years from Associate Consultant to Consultant, 2 years from Consultant to Manager. It's August - almost all Consultants (post-MBA) started 2 years ago this month - they're all getting promoted together. No conspiracy, just normal course of business.

2 years as a consultant then onto manage at bain? Have you not heard of the 1 year CTL / senior consultant period they have?

Appreciate your effort but pls refrain from commenting if you don't know what you're talking about - misinformation is harmful
