Leaving MBB at 1.5 yrs
Original post was about whether 1.5 years was too early to leave my MBB firm for a corporate strategy gig I was excited about.

Not bad consulting experience, just the traveling gotten to me super quick and is costing me a lot (not financial cost)

Surely it shouldn't matter especially if you will be working on more exciting stuff (for you) at the new place and that's what you want to do. Maybe think about your long term goals and see what the backgrounds are of people in similar roles.
1.5 years at MBB is sufficient to check the box, which it sounds like is causing your hesitation with leaving. It sounds like the new gig is a great one for you. Go for it.
Make sure that you're going TO something you want rather than AWAY form something you hate. Why trade being miserable for being slightly less miserable? Definitely worth sucking up 1-2 more crappy projects to find the right opportunity (unless you're on the verge of flaming out).
I left my post-undergrad consulting gig at exactly 1.5 years and nobody has ever insinuated that it was too short a time. Everyone has a different experience, but I am personally glad that I left when the learning curve started to flatten out (I was having a good time, was a good cultural fit).
