Looking to get into consulting... do I have what it takes?
Here's the story... for the past year I've been trying to get any kind of finance-related job because... well that's what I majored in. But recently realized that given the kind of person I am and the experiences I've had... I'd enjoy working in consulting, but I don't really know whether I'd be able to get into any consulting firm with my qualifications. For what it's worth, I'm not trying to get into a large consulting firm like McKinsey or BCG... looking more at small regional ones (NYC metro area) and one that popped out is ZS Associates, which actually does recruit at my school, but I haven't heard anything back from them yet.
I put my resume here so I didn't have to list everything about myself. I'd appreciate any advice anyone can give me. Thanks!
"Facilitated conversation between 20+ students"
I'm not sure if I would put that on as the biggest achievement of a section lasting two years...
I don't think you have a shot at the big names but as you said, that's not your goal. With the smaller ones it should be possible to at least get an interview
