MBB in Seattle/Portland?

Looking at relocating to the PNW post-grad. Current student at HYP. Any insight on how the offices are in these areas? How do MBB differ here? I know it's a bit different than larger, East Coast/California stuff.

None of MBB have offices in Portland - go read their websites first...

Seattle is a smaller office relative to their larger ones. Since it's WC for BCG/Bain, the cases tend to be more tech-heavy, though you can still work in other industries. Looking at the Partner expertise in each office gives you a good idea of what to expect. Source: roommate in MBB Seattle

When I was interviewing for 2020 MBB start dates it seemed like Seattle offices were growing fast because of the clients there. Firms explicitly said there were only a handful of spots left in the north east for FT recruiting but Seattle had lots.

Born and raised 15 minutes from downtown Portland: Zero MBB consulting here and I’m pretty sure theres no BB IB here either. Only boutiques and a couple MMs (for consulting, IB, and PE).

I’ve also been the protests, the city is not “burning down” as you might have been told, it was only a few blocks. The protests have been going for months and someone got shot the first night of a Trump ralley.

Portland and Seattle does have a pretty bad homeless problem. Not as bad but comparable with SF.
