MBB Office Domestic Transfers

This topic has been brought up before, but I haven't been able to find a solid answer yet and wanted to try again. I'm about to start at an MBB in a T2 city with a decently sized office. I am interested in transferring to one of the firm's mega-offices, but not NY which I am well aware is the single most competitive office. Does anyone know how feasible this is or how many years it might take to do such a move? The office(s) I am interested in are large, but not as competitive as NY (at least from what I understand). Thanks!
